Administrative Assistant
Grade Classification: Administrative Assistant ($18.70 - $22.37)
Employee Benefits: Family health and dental insurance plan; life insurance; 11 paid holidays; one personal

Description of basic duties: Manage front desk operations, greet visitors, handle inquiries regarding parks and recreation facilities and services.
Perform data entry tasks, utilizing strong typing skills and attention to detail.
Process special events and rentals and distribute permits and reservation forms. Schedule facilities in the department’s software system.
Perform basic bookkeeping functions, with payroll records, payables and collections. Prepare daily cash and credit card deposits.
Assist with marketing and publicity materials and actively promote the department and its events. Assist with preparation and distribution of press releases, publications, and program flyers, through print, website, and social media.
Special Qualifications: Must have excellent communication skills, be comfortable working with the public. Must be able to use a computer and be able to learn and utilize department software. Familiarity with Excel.
Education: High school diploma required. Some college in related field or experience preferred.
