Sergeant Chris Giacolone - Recipient of Mayor's Award for Outstanding Service

Sergeant Chris Giacolone was recently presented with the Mayor’s Award for Outstanding Service in recognition of his exceptional dedication and contributions to the Rolla community.

Throughout his career with the Rolla Police Department, Sgt. Giacolone has served in a variety of critical roles, including patrol officer, patrol supervisor and detective. He currently serves as the department’s Housing Officer and SWAT Team Leader, positions that require both strong leadership and a deep commitment to public safety. His broad experience and steady leadership have had a lasting, positive impact on both the department and the community he serves.

Sgt. Giacolone is also a graduate of the Missouri Police Chiefs Association Command College, a distinction that reflects his commitment to professional development and excellence in law enforcement leadership.
The Mayor’s Award, established in 2008 under Mayor William Jenks III and continued by Mayor Louis Magdits, is presented to an employee or group who has made a significant contribution to the City or the Department.
