Tennis Courts
The Parks Department maintains 6 public tennis courts for use by residents and local school teams. These courts, located in Ber Juan Park, were resurfaced in 2003 with Premier Court tennis surfacing, which is a world class, championship caliber sports surface. And then in 2005, with fundraising help from the Friends of Tennis, a grant from USTA, and help from various city departments, the city purchased and installed a Musco Light Structure 2 system. The courts are lit to USTA standards with the aid of a timing system, half the courts can be lit at once or all six courts can be on.
With the addition of the Premier Court surface and the Musco lighting, Rolla has further enhanced the Ber Juan Tennis Complex as being the best in the area. Ber Juan Tennis Complex is also a Tennis Welcome Center as well as an official USTA championship complex. In 2005, Ber Juan Tennis Complex was named the USTA Missouri District Tennis Facility of the Year.
